That is why we offer BOTH cmyk printing (sometimes called "unlimited color", or "full color"), and Pantone spot color printing. Which is best for your project? Full color cmyk is outstanding when you have a photographic-type image, have gradations or shades, or have many colors in your graphic, like above left. When you have a limited amounts of colors, 5 or less, and there are no gradients, you are almost always going to get a more striking result using Pantone spot colors, above right.

The reason for this is that cmyk printing ("unlimited color") achieves all those colors with only four inks that are always the same, which are printed in small dots of varying sizes, which get "mixed" visually in your eye. Spot colors are already made to the exact color you want, so the colors can be stronger, and they are printed on the calendar as a solid, no dots are needed... think like painting a wall.
